Our school strives to offer as many sports as possible to both male and female students. All Athletic programs will stress academic success, physical fitness, character development, discipline, and good sportsmanship. Our athletes represent our school and community and are expected to be student leaders with positive behavior.
Per OCPS Policy, all students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher to be eligible to participate in athletics.
We have 4 Varsity Sports at LMS:
Quarter 1: Boys & Girls Soccer
Quarter 2: Boys & Girls Volleyball
Quarter 3: Boys & Girls Basketball
Quarter 4: Boys & Girls Track & Field

Athletic Eligibility
Students must have and maintain a 2.0 GPA (C average) or above, to be eligible to participate in athletic programs. In order for athletes to participate in daily practices and/or games, they must be present for at least four consecutive periods that day. Students must also complete a satisfactory medical examination during each academic school year in which they plan to participate.
All Athletic programs will stress academic success, physical fitness, character development, discipline, and good sportsmanship. Our athletes represent our school and community and are expected to be student leaders with positive behavior. Students who use alcohol, tobacco or other drugs, have behavior or attendance problems, or violate other training rules as set by their coach, may lose their opportunity to participate.

Sports Physicals
All potential student-athletes must have a completed sports physical to try out for sports.

The physical must me completed and submitted online on www.aktivate.com and approved by the athletic director to be able to participate of any sport. Click on this link and follow all the steps on how to create an account for your athlete.

*Sports physical may be good for multiple sports if they are in date.
*ECG form is not required for middle school.
